Sat, Aug 8 Day 1

The Drive Up — Jackson to the Lost Sierra via Monitor Pass

Sun, Aug 9 Day 2

Gold Country Loop — Highway 49, La Porte Road & Bucks Lake

A tighter, more technical day: the Gold Rush corridor of Highway 49, the remote ribbon of La Porte Road, and the climb to Bucks Lake before returning to Graeagle. Group dinner nearby in the evening.

Mon, Aug 10 Day 3

The Volcano Run — Lassen, Highway 32 & the Feather River Canyon

The big one. North past Lake Almanor toward Lassen, down legendary Highway 32 to Chico, then back along the Feather River Canyon on Highway 70 — one of California's great road-engineering marvels. Farewell group dinner.

~273 miles · 5.5 hours of driving
Tue, Aug 11 Day 4

The Drive Home

A relaxed breakfast send-off, route suggestions in hand for the drive back — fast way or fun way, your call.
